The cookery is held in the Daphne Dowdle Pavilion, named after the former cookery chief steward, and community stalwart, Mrs Daphne (Eric) Dowdle, this pavilion houses the children's and adults' cookery.Participants from as young as pre-school join the veterans in categories from decorated eggs to preserves and all kinds of baking.
Please note that the entry closing date has now been extended to Tuesday 17 May. Thanks to everyone who has entered so far – we look forward to seeing your entries at the Show! Please keep them coming in. See the Cookery Schedules on this website for details on how to enter. Never entered before? See the Novice classes or ask a question before you enter. Everybody welcome!
We are still looking for volunteer stewards to help out in the Cookery, particularly on judging day, Thursday 19 May, and exhibit pick up on Sunday 22 May. Please come and join our friendly group of stewards if you have some time to spare either then or over the Show Weekend. We love having new stewards, and need extra helpers each year. Offers of help to gmack16@bigpond.com would be much appreciated!
