CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- All entries close with the steward on Friday 7th May 2010 at 5pm.
- Entries are to be delivered to,AND ,AFTER THE SHOW, COLLECTED FROM, Dr A. Orr Shop 3, 2069 Moggill Rd, Kenmore (opposite Kenmore State School) during office hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 12 noon Saturdays.
- Each entry to be a single image, to be mounted on a firm backing and UNFRAMED with NO GLASS. Maximum size 40cmx30cm.(incl. mount.).Maximum of four entries, per entrant.
- Every effort will be made to ensure the safety and protection of all entries. However the Brookfield Show Society accepts no liability for the loss or damage of entries either in transit or in the custody of the Society.
- An Entry fee of $8 per entry, payable with lodging of entry by cash (please submit correct money on lodging entries) or cheque made payable to “Brookfield Show Society”.
- Name and phone number of entrant must be on reverse side of each entry, together with category of entry.
There are three categories in the competition which will be judged by Dr Joseph McDowall, from the Qld College of Art, Griffith University. The categories are as follows:
- PICTORAL (Image may be captured either digitally or on film, and printed from a digital file or by traditional enlarging. Only manipulation to enhance the print quality may be undertaken.)
- PEOPLE ( As above)
- EXPERIMENTAL (Any subject: the image is to be innovative; it may be digitally-captured or scanned from an original, and then modified using digital or other techniques.)
There will be cash prizes and ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place getters in each category. There will also be an overall Grand Champion awarded. NOTE: All entries are acceptable in either colour or black and white, whichever you think best suits your subject. The Judge’s Decision is Final.
